I’ll start this off by stating the obvious: I’m in love with these pants. As a big fan of prints and patterns, it surprises me how long florals have managed to stay off my radar. I’ve always felt there was a fine line between adorable and tacky with busy floral prints but when I saw the Miniflora Charlie Trousers (by Cartonnier) on the rack during my last trip to Anthro, I was hooked.
I absolutely love the big beige and golden flowers with that great pop of fuchsia, all against a navy backdrop with a sprinkle of white polkadots. It’s the perfect color balance for a heavy pattern and the cropped pant length sweetens the entire look. The fit is also perfection! The cotton spandex is sturdy enough to be flattering and forgiving, but soft enough to be super comfortable. For me, the sign of a truly comfortable piece of clothing is if I get home after a long day and don’t feel the need to change. I returned from a full day of walking and kept these pants on for the rest of the night!
If you’re timid around patterned pants, you have to stop by an Anthro and give these a try before shunning them entirely! I think you’ll be surprised by how much you love them just like I was! If you’re still not a fan, the Charlie Trousers come in a few more lovely prints and solids.
