Flawless Foundation + Contouring (Giveaway closed!)

So I finally did a foundation and contouring video YAY! I’m so excited to finally launch the offbeat + inspired YouTube channel and to prove that excitement, I’m giving away 2 awesome products that I cannot live without. Take a look at the video and then keep reading for the giveaway details!

This video shows a basic run-down of how I start off every “full face” look I do. This isn’t your typical on-the-go makeup, but to achieve flawless looking skin for a night out, a special occasion or to hide a splotchy breakout day, this is my routine.

I have major problems with redness and hyper-pigmentation, so finding a good foundation is the eternal quest. I do believe I’m in possession of a holy grail product though and it’s the Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation. I’ve mentioned it before, but now you get to see it in action. You’ll notice how red my skin got after I finished with my moisturizer… well yeah, that’s pretty much what happens if someone breathes too hard near my face. I’m VERY sensitive, especially on my cheeks and around my nose. No other product has evened out my skin tone as well as this foundation while keeping it moisturized and natural looking.

Flawless Foundation + Contouring and a Giveaway! (finished look from the video) - offbeat + inspired

Finished look from the video!

You might be wondering why concealer is needed if the foundation works so well. Foundation should solve most skin issues, but not all. I always need some extra brightening under my eyes and around my nose. I tend to have dark circles and excess redness, so the concealer offers a finishing touch. It also works great as a highlighter to add some dimension to your brow bone, nose and chin. Foundation gives a nice blank canvas, so the goal is to bring dimension back to your face with highlighting and contouring.

Once you have your own foundation and contouring method down, you’ll be set to create any look you can imagine. The fun part is experimenting so get ready for more videos!!

The Giveaway (Closed)

My 2 favorite contouring/highlighting products in the world are the Benefit “Hoola” Bronzer and the LORAC Perfectly Lit Luminizing Powder in Luminous (both shown in the video). The bronzer is one of the best bronze tone formulas I’ve found because it isn’t too powdery, dark or orange and the LORAC highlighter is so silky and smooth with just enough shimmer to make you glow, but not so much that you look like a disco ball. I’ll be giving away these 2 amazing products ($60 value) to one lucky subscriber!

  2. Right now, one of my favorite skincare products is the L’Oreal BB cream! I never thought I’d be won over by a BB cream after trying a lackluster sample of another brand, but this stuff has made SUCH a difference in the condition of my skin – even without a full face of makeup!

  37. Cindi Holt says:

I am trying to find a new and better foundation than the one I had been using for many years. At the moment, I am trying out trial size packets of Bobbi Brown Foundation. I like this, but want to try at least 3 different kinds before making a final decision. As I have aged, my skin has changed but my makeup regime hasn’t. Therefore, I need to find a foundation that more perfectly matches where I am now, not where I was 10 or more years ago!
